Using a triangulated approach, a combination of primary qualitative data from lawyers, surveys, and chair panel observations was used to understand the relationship between the lawyers and clients.
Results indicate that the lawyer’s role during RDM conferences varies depending on the client. Lawyers are committed to the RDM model and adapt their role to the client, the conference chair, and other lawyers in the room.
